Looking for the right DJ these days can be a challenge! RIGHT?! There are so many people out there calling themselves a "DJ" just because they have a nice pair of speakers and a Macbook. Well! How SHOULD you find the right DJ? (Is it even possible?!) We made it simple and easy for you. Assuming you're making calls to some of the DJs in your area (hopefully us too!), here are the 16 questions to ask your prospective DJ. These 16 questions were written by Sue Mel, an experienced wedding DJ at our hometown of Chicago. We recommend you to print this out before making the calls!

16 Questions to ask a DJ:

  5. How will you personalize our reception throughout the night?

  6. How will you involve our guests?

  7. How much experience do you have entertaining at my type of event?

  8. How much is the reservation fee and is it refundable?

  9. Do you use a written contract?

  10. Are there any additional fees?

  16. Last, but not least, can I MEET you / my DJ IN PERSON?
